"Circum-Baikal railway" opened. This cite devotes to the legendary
"gloden clasp on the steel girdle" of the Russian Empire - Circum-Baikal
railway. Unfortunately it's not full version of the site because our knowledge of English
isn't allow us to translate large (and very interesting) articles. If you want to help
please write to us. Now there are avaibale four main sections - Handbook
(general informations, historical facts, tunnels, bridges, sights and stops lists,
weather, schedules), Photogallery (about 300 photos in 6
subsections), History, Impressions and
some subordinate pages. For the first time full and accurate lists of tunnels, bridges and
sights were made and published; also first all facts about the railway were brought
together within the framework of one information source.
